This online webinar explored the basic concepts involved in teaching narrative writing to students.
The program guided participants through the following content areas: What is a story? The problem situation - the seed of narrative; Character and Motivation; The importance of plot; The seven basic plots; The twenty master plots; Is genre important?; A writer’s toolkit; Five ways to kill a story stone dead.
The PD offered a range of teaching or classroom activities for each one of these content areas - some 21 in total (each with multiple examples or options to cater for individual needs).
